Is this a program nursing moms can do?

Our recipes are delicious and satiating and, in the absence of allergies or specific dietary restrictions, perfectly appropriate for anyone, including children and nursing moms.

The Thinlicious way of eating is intended to be a lifestyle, not a diet, and it's important to remember that there's nothing inherently dangerous about cutting out sugar, refined carbohydrates, or chemical sweeteners, as none of those foods contain essential nutrients.

That said, nursing moms should always focus on eating enough to keep yourself and your baby full and healthy! When in doubt, always consult your doctor.

Was this plan developed by a doctor or nutritionist?

Our 28 Day Metabolism Reset meal plan and recipes were mostly developed by our founder, Ruth Soukup, but have been reviewed and approved by our physician advisor, Dr. Edie Wadsworth.

How is your program different from other diets, such as Keto or South Beach?

The Thinlicious way of eating and our Thin Adapted System is based on metabolic science and focuses on cutting out foods with a high glycemic index that will spike your blood sugar, such as refined carbohydrates and sugar.

This is a similar approach as seen in other low-carb diet plans, such as keto, Atkins, or the South Beach diet, which means that most of our recipes can be considered keto-friendly.

However, unlike "traditional" keto, which often focuses on eating as much fat as possible without regards to nutritional content, we encourage more protein, along with a variety of low-glycemic, fiber-rich vegetables & fruits.

While keto has exploded in popularity over the past few years, there is actually a whole lot of misinformation about how and why low-carb diets actually work, and the science behind them.

The ultimate goal of our program is to a.) help women better understand how different foods affect our metabolism in order to avoid making the common mistakes that prevent them from seeing weight-loss success and b.) to make adhering to a low-carb lifestyle feel convenient, easy, delicious, and sustainable.

Why will this work when so many diets fail?

There are a lot of reasons why diets don't work, but one of the main reasons is that as humans we don't function well when we are hungry.

Our metabolism slows down to preserve energy, we get cranky and irritable, and we struggle to concentrate. It's not a sustainable way to exist, which is why when we try to deprive ourselves of food for a prolonged period of time, our willpower finally gives out and we end up overindulging even more.

But a lack of willpower is only the beginning.

Because the REAL problem is not that we are eating too much, it's that we are eating the wrong things. The modern western diet is packed with high-glycemic foods and refined carbohydrates that tend to spike our blood sugar & keep our insulin levels elevated all the time time, which prevents our body from being able to burn fat for fuel.

Are there specific exercises for the 28 Day Metabolism Reset or can we do our own exercise plan? Is exercise required?

There is not currently a specific exercise plan to go along with the 28 Day Metabolism Reset, because 95% of your results will come from changing the way you eat, not from exercise.

If you are not currently doing any sort of regular exercise, then we recommend just focusing your energy during the reset on changing your eating habits, without worrying about ALSO trying to start exercising.

However, if you already exercise regularly, you should feel free to continue your normal routine. Our full Thin Adapted System program, when released, will include recommendations for strength training to help build more muscle mass.

How long will it take to see results? Is there an average number of pounds lost?

Because this is a new program, we are still in the process of collecting data. However, the program is based on research collected from a number of different studies that have been conducted across the world over the past 75 years.

Thinlicious™ and the Thin Adapted System™ is not intended to be a crash diet, because we know that diets don't work. Instead, it is intended to be a new & delicious way of eating that you can easily maintain for life.
