Are there any prerequisites to this program?

There are no prerequisites for joining TAS!

The 28 Day Metabolism Reset is the perfect way to get a taste of our program and prepare for Phase 2. That said, it is not a mandatory prerequisite for joining our full program. You will simply start by following our Level 1 guidelines, while anyone who has done the 28 Day Metabolism Reset will likely start by following the Level 2 guidelines.

Yes! Our Thin Adapted System meal plan and recipes were mostly developed by our founder, Ruth Soukup, but have been reviewed and approved by our physician advisor, Dr. Edie Wadsworth.

The 12 lessons are taught by both Ruth and Dr. Edie, and will cover not only the practical aspects of following the program but the underlying metabolic science and health aspects of the program as well.

How is your program different from other diets, such as keto or South Beach?

The Thinlicious way of eating and our Thin Adapted System is based on metabolic science and focuses on cutting out foods with a high-glycemic index that will spike your blood sugar, such as refined carbohydrates and sugar.

This is a similar approach as seen in other low-carb diet plans, such as keto, Atkins or the South Beach diet, which means that most of our recipes can be considered keto friendly.

However, unlike "traditional" keto, which often focuses on eating as much fat as possible without regard to nutritional content, we encourage more protein, along with a variety of low-glycemic, fiber-rich vegetables and fruits.

While keto has exploded in popularity over the past few years, there is actually a whole lot of misinformation about how and why low-carb diets actually work and the science behind them.

The ultimate goal of our program is to a.) help women better understand how different foods affect our metabolism in order to avoid making the common mistakes that prevent them from seeing weight loss success and b.) to make adhering to a low-carb lifestyle feel convenient, easy, delicious and sustainable.


Why will this work when so many diets fail?

There are a lot of reasons why diets don't work, but one of the main reasons is that as humans we don't function well when we are hungry.

Our metabolism slows down to preserve energy, we get cranky and irritable, and we struggle to concentrate. It's not a sustainable way to exist, which is why when we try to deprive ourselves of food for a prolonged period of time, our willpower finally gives out, and we end up overindulging even more.

But a lack of willpower is only the beginning.

Because the REAL problem is not that we are eating too much, it's that we are eating the wrong things. The modern Western diet is packed with high-glycemic foods and refined carbohydrates that tend to spike our blood sugar and keep our insulin levels elevated all the time, which prevents our body from being able to burn fat for fuel.

But if you are able to eat in a way that keeps your blood sugar low, you can eat to satiety and still lose weight. And because you're not constantly hungry, it's easy to maintain this way of eating indefinitely.

Can I get a physical copy?

At this time our Thin Adapted System is only available in digital format, which includes downloadable resources and a series of lesson videos accessible in our password-protected member's area.

You can print the resources and have them bound or keep them in a 3-ring binder, or you can print just the pages and recipes you need.


What if I want to cancel my subscription?

You are free to cancel your membership at any time! Just send an email to hello@thinlicious.com and request to cancel, and we will walk you through the process.

You must email at least 7 days prior to your billing date to ensure we are able to cancel your membership before it automatically processes.

Once your automatic payment is processed, we will not be able to provide any refunds so be sure to reach out to us within that 7-day window.


What is the investment?

We currently offer 3 different enrollment options to choose from. The option right for you will depend on how much weight you are hoping to lose, how long you would like to have access to the program and what makes the most sense for your budget. Regardless of how you choose to enroll, all TAS members have the same access to all course materials and bonuses.

  • Our Monthly subscription option is just $97/month. This is an ideal option if you are just getting started and you aren't quite sure if our program is right for you, if you are only aiming to lose 10 pounds or less or if you are on a budget and need the lowest-priced option.
  • Our Quarterly subscription is $247 and is billed every three months. This is an ideal option if you are aiming to lose more than 20 pounds, or you would like ongoing support and are ready to commit to a longer-term plan.
  • Our Annual subscription level is $897 for the entire year (billed every 12 months). This is the best option for anyone who wants to have long-term support and the ability to revisit the lessons in the future. It’s also recommended for anyone aiming to lose more than 50 pounds and anyone who loves savings—this option will save you almost $300 in the course of a year!

What will I need in advance before I can start?

Our Thin Adapted System program includes a comprehensive prep guide with a list of recommended foods and supplies to get before you begin in order to make following our system as easy and painless as possible!


What if I'm not yet 40? Or a guy? Will this program still work for me?

Our program is specifically tailored to the unique needs of women over 40, who tend to have the biggest struggles with metabolic issues due to the changes in our hormones as we get older (and the hardest time losing weight). That said, our program is also perfectly appropriate for men or for women under 40.

Are there specific exercises for the Thin Adapted System, or can we do our own exercise plan? Is exercise required?

If you already have an established workout routine, we recommend sticking with it. If not, we recommend first focusing on changing the way you EAT before worrying about incorporating exercise and fitness into your routine.

Once we get into Phase 2 we will start talking about how and when to begin introducing exercise into your weight loss plan and what types of exercises are recommended to burn fat.


How do I know whether the Thin Adapted System is right for me?

The Thin Adapted System was specifically designed to help busy, high-achieving women over 40 discover a new way of eating that actually works for the way they live their lives. It's easy to follow, infinitely flexible and completely satiating (because let's face it—you don't have time to be hungry all the time!).

Our 12-Week Meal Plan is low carb/keto friendly and almost entirely gluten-free. While some of our recipes do contain meat, fish, dairy and other items that may not fit within your own dietary preferences, an endless number of substitutions are possible (and easy!).


Is there a certain schedule I have to follow? What if I can't attend live?

All 12 lessons and bonus Q&A sessions have been pre-recorded and added to our course portal for you to watch on your own time, at your own convenience, which makes it super easy to make the program work with any schedule.

Weekly group coaching and accountability sessions will be scheduled in advance but will also be recorded for anyone who is not able to attend live.


What exactly is the Thin Adapted System? How is it different from the 28 Day Metabolism Reset?

The Thin Adapted System™ (which we refer to as TAS) is our comprehensive signature program, designed to help you lose weight and dramatically improve your health by fixing the root causes of weight gain and hormonal imbalance. 

Our program is split into 3 phases:

PHASE 1 | ACCLIMATE 

During Phase 1—the Acclimate phase—your primary goal is to switch your body from burning carbs to burning fat as its default source of fuel and to become fully Thin Adapted. This is the phase you’re in during our 28 Day Metabolism Reset.

During this phase, which typically lasts for 4-6 weeks, you can expect to lose some weight—typically between 7-15 pounds—but in order for your body to continue burning fat you will need to move into Phase 2.

PHASE 2 | IGNITE (Weight Loss Mode!)

Phase 2—the Ignite phase—begins once your body has become fully Thin Adapted. You’ll know you’ve made the switch when you feel a significant increase in energy, as well as a marked decrease in hunger, and you will continue to lose weight at a steady pace. During the Ignite phase, you’ll make some important tweaks to what and when you eat that will help accelerate your fat burn and avoid plateaus.


PHASE 3 | MAINTAIN

Phase 3 begins once you have reached your weight loss goal. This is where the Thin Adapted System becomes part of your everyday lifestyle—a way of eating that is easy to stick to, even as part of a busy life, and never feels restrictive or cumbersome. 

Our TAS Program walks you through each of these three phases in meticulous detail over the course of 12 super-in-depth lessons, providing you with both practical instruction and a clear understanding of the underlying metabolic science, so that you can begin to confidently make better choices that lead to long-term, sustainable results. 

While the 28 Day Metabolism Reset is the perfect way to get started with our program, it really is only the beginning and just a small taste of our full program.

It is a comprehensive program that combines solid, well-researched metabolic science with simple-to-follow guidelines and delicious, easy-to-prepare food, as well as deep mindset shifts and strategic strength training in order to help you create lasting, sustainable changes in your life and your health. 


Do I have to be on social media to participate in this program?

While we encourage all of our Thin Adapted System participants to follow @thinliciouslife and @ruthsoukup on Instagram to get daily tips and a behind-the-scenes look at the Thinlicious lifestyle in action, it is not absolutely necessary to be on social media to participate in this program.

That said, if you are not on Facebook you will potentially miss out on some of the community elements of the program. If this is the case, we encourage you to create a temporary account so that you can participate in our incredible community!


How long will it take to see results? Is there an average number of pounds lost?

Because this is a new program, we are still in the process of collecting data. However, the program is based on research collected from a number of different studies that have been conducted across the world over the past 75 years.

Thinlicious™ and the Thin Adapted System™ are not intended to be a crash diet, because we know that diets don't work. Instead, they are intended to be a new and delicious way of eating that you can easily maintain for life.

As with any type of weight loss program, results will vary and be largely impacted by a number of factors. That said, our participants so far have typically seen noticable results within 2 weeks of starting the program and have lost anywhere from 15- 40 pounds in the first 3 months, and as much as 60 pounds in 6 months.


What if I don't have time to cook?

We've done our best to make food prep on our plan as simple and painless as possible.

First, all of our recipes are designed to be quick, easy and absolutely delicious. Most can be prepared in 30 minutes or less. Not only that, it's food you'll actually enjoy eating and food the rest of your family will happily eat right alongside you! (We promise they won't even know it's healthy!)

Second, we provide complete shopping lists for each week's plan, so that you don't have to waste time figuring out what you'll need. This step alone will save you hours!

Third, we also provide weekly prep tips that will tell you what things you can prepare over the weekend to save time during the workweek.


What if I have dietary restrictions? Will this plan work for vegetarians or vegans?

With more than 100 recipes to choose from, there is definitely something for (almost) everyone in the Thin Adapted System.

Many of our recipes are already gluten-free, dairy-free, low calorie or low carb, and many others can be easily modified to suit your unique dietary needs.

While we do have vegetarians (and even a few vegans) in our program, it's definitely a program that focuses heavily on eating plenty of nutrient-dense, protein-rich foods, which include a lot of meat. Please take this into consideration before joining the program.


How do substitutions work? Is it really that easy?

We know you still have to live your life and that your busy schedule won't slow down just because you decided to get healthy! That's why our plan is designed to be super flexible and why you can substitute any of our recipes at any time with either another Thinlicious recipe or with an option from our Wild Card list.


When does this program begin? Is there a schedule?

You will receive your enrollment confirmation within 5-10 minutes of purchase, along with your access to the membership portal, which is where your program resources will be hosted.

We encourage you to complete the lessons on the schedule that works for you, but our recommendation is to watch one lesson per week over the course of 12 weeks.

Please note, you will only have access to the Thin Adapted System while you have an active membership. Once you cancel, or if your payment defaults, you will lose access and you will not be eligible to rejoin for 30 days.


What is your refund policy?

We know that if you do the work, you will achieve results in our program. We put a tremendous amount of time and energy into this program, and our customers experience those results when they follow our program guidelines.
