Ingredients
1poundground beef
1poundground Italian sausagemild or hot, depending on what you like!
½cupgreen bell pepperdiced
½large yellow onionchopped
1tsp.minced garlic
1 6ozcan tomato paste
1 14ozcan petite diced tomatoes
1tbsp.chili powder
½tbsp.ground cumin
⅓cupwater
Toppingssour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, & diced green pepper

Instructions
In large pot or saucepan over medium-high heat, brown ground beef & Italian sausage; spoon out & discard approximately half the fat then remove browned meat from pan and set aside.
Saute green pepper, onion, and garlic in remaining fat and cook until soft, about 2-3 minutes.
Add meat back to pan and stir in tomato paste, tomatoes, seasonings, and water, and mix well.
Simmer, then reduce heat & cook for at least 30 minutes until flavors blend.
Top with sour cream, cheese & diced green pepper and serve.
