There aren’t a lot of foods I long for on a regular basis, but man oh man, every now and then I get the biggest craving for a nice juicy cheeseburger.
Luckily, thanks to our homemade Magic Protein Hamburger Rolls, switching to a low-carb lifestyle doesn’t have to mean missing out on this All-American classic. (Or, in a pinch, you could also pick up a pack of low-carb hamburger rolls.) To save on time, use the frozen pre-made patties. It’s a great low carb dinner option!
INGREDIENTS:
- 4 frozen pre-made beef hamburger patties
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 4 Magic Protein Rolls, sliced in half
- Lettuce leaves
- Tomato, sliced
- Red onion, sliced
- Sliced dill pickles
- Mayo, mustard, sugar-free ketchup, and any other desired condiments
STEP 1: Preheat gas grill to medium-high for 5-10 minutes. Place hamburger patties on grill & wait for juices to flow to the top of burger (about 5 minutes). Flip and continue cooking until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees.

STEP 3: Place cheese on burgers, close lid, and cook an additional 30-45 seconds until cheese is melted. Remove from grill.
STEP 4: If desired, toast rolls on grill or in skillet. Assemble burgers with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles and desired condiments.
