Blueberry Fat Bombs are another fun way to lose weight

Fat bombs, as the name suggests, are bite-sized treats made with ingredients containing high fat — the healthy kind! If you’ve ever brought this subject up with your carb-loving friends, you might have gotten an earful of “How does that work??”and “Doesn’t eating fat make you fat?â€

Sure, it does sound like it would, but the seemingly magical thing about these fat bombs is that the healthy fats keep your cravings at bay because they curb your appetite and you feel full straight away.

This Blueberry Fat Bomb recipe is a Keeper

If you’re on your low-carb journey to help yourself get your body back into shape, or help with health issues such as chronic high blood sugars (and all the complications that go along with that), this will help you with your low-carb journey.

Since healthy fats help curb your appetite, making you fuller for a longer period of time, you can comfortably wait for your next low-carb meal later on during the day.

It’s good to remember though that you should be cutting back on your carbs before increasing your intake of healthy fats. Otherwise, you will be on the ruinous Standard American Diet (SAD) = high carbs and high fat.

Blueberry Fat Bombs are Proof that Eating Healthy doesn’t need to be a Punishment!

Like some of my other my other fat bomb recipes, these blueberry fat bombs are made with cream cheese. Other fat bombs are made with coconut oil, and so have special health benefits such as antibacterial and anti-fungal properties.

So before you reach for a high sugar snack from the vending machine, why not try out this berry delicious fat bomb and take more steps toward your weight and health goals!

TOP TIPS:

  • Keep a stash of the blueberry fat bombs in the freezer, for an easy and quick sweet treat, just without the sugar highs and the crash that will inevitably happen later.
  • Always buy the full fat cream cheese. the spreadable cream cheese will NOT set. See all the ingredients I use here.

  1. Do you eat these frozen?

      1. I eat mine with a paper towel wrapped around it till it gets pretty melted. I didn’t have a mini cupcake pan so mine are 2x the size.

  2. I just stuck these in the freezer to harden up a bit…they are DELICIOUS!!! I couldn’t stop licking the spoon, my fingers, the blender blades (I have a mini nutribullet). Best part is that it tastes amazing right after it’s been blended…like a blueberry yogurt smoothie! Thank you for the recipe!

  3. Is there anything we can substitute for the cream cheese? Would cashew cheese work?

    1. I have never used cashew cheese, cashews are very high in carbs. Check the nutrition label and if cashew cheese works and sets like cream cheese, then these might possibly work, but I can’t vouch for it 100%. Come back and let me know how you get on.

  4. My husband declared them delicious. But next time I am going to freeze in small ramekins as a frozen dessert

  5. How do we convert this to cups? I figured out the cream cheese but not sure about blueberries.

    1. I have added big red conversion buttons below every recipe. You can easily swap between cups and grams, whichever you prefer to cook by 🙂

  6. Has anyone made these without the sweetener?

  7. Sheryl Davis says:

If you dip these in chocolate, will they keep in the refrigerator?

  8. How many of these should I eat for a typical snack? The serving size is just for 1 fat bomb, but I know that won’t hold me over between meals.

  9. 5 stars
I’ve made several different fat bombs during my keto journey. I’d have to say these ones may be the tastiest!

  10. Megan Jayne says:

These are delicious! My daughter licked the bowl!

  11. What would happen if I used spreadable cream cheese? Would it not hold as good. Difficult to roll into balls or would I get something totally different ?

    1. It may not set. You may end up with very soft cream cheese balls. There are frozen so that will help somewhat, but also spreadable cream cheese often has added ingredients too.

  12. Marjorie F says:

Can I put it in ice cube trays then just pop them out?
