However, this recipe combines that chocolate goodness with a sweetener of your choice, giving it a much sweeter taste than if it was on its own.

Ingredients
 
 

  • 250 ml boiling water
  • 3 tsp powdered gelatine
  • 100 g cream cheese full fat
  • 30 g cocoa powder (unsweetened) unsweeteened
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 3 tbsp granulated sweetener of choice or more to your taste
  • 375 ml heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  • Mix the gelatin and boiling water until the gelatin completely dissolves and you can no longer see any gelatin granules.
  • In a large bowl mix the cream cheese, cocoa powder, orange zest and sweetener until smooth. You can do this with a hand blender, whisk or even just a fork
  • Add the gelatin mixture to the cream cheese mixture. Mix/blend until smooth and lump free.
  • Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Fold into the chocolate/orange mixture.
  • Pour the mixture into 6 serving bowls or dishes. Place in the fridge for at least 2 hours to set. Garnish with some extra orange zest.

    Just started Keto but have to be careful as I am on blood thinners warfarin so at the mo cut out potatoes as that was my main carb and bread but going to make your recipes don’t eat cake anyway but the phisillian husk is it a laxative as I have Ibs could I leave that out if so

  2. What if I use an orange flavored gelatin?

    1. That would work. And easier too! If it is a sugar-free gelatin/jello, just remember to check the sweeteners are OK, some are questionable which is why I am going back to old-school gelati and naturally flavouring the recipe.
