Easy Smoked Low Carb Salmon Spread

Salmon is a perfect fish for a ketogenic, low carb lifestyle. It is full of heart healthy omega 3 fats, full of protein and also rich in B vitamins! This low carb salmon spread from our sister website, Living Well Spending Less is super simple with only 6 ingredients.

It also tastes delicious on our low carb bagels, or serve it with a low carb cracker for a simple yet tasty appetizer.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 3.75 oz can smoked salmon
  • 1 8oz carton of cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons jalapeno pepper (chopped)
  • juice of ½ lemon
  • 2 tablespoons red onion, finely chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

STEP 1: In a large bowl break up smoked salmon with a fork.

STEP 2: Then add the softened cream cheese, chopped jalapeno, red onion, lemon juice and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are combined.

STEP 3: Let the mixture chill for 30 minutes or serve right away.

STEP 4: This is the perfect spread to pair with our low carb bagels, or serve it with low-carb crackers for a tasty appetizer.
