Quick & Easy No-Mess Low-Carb Bacon
Mmmmm….bacon. It’s not only delicious but the perfect low carb snack. I love cooking up a pound or two of low-carb bacon on the weekends to use throughout the week for breakfasts, sandwiches, or even just a quick snack.
That said, if you’ve ever avoided making bacon because you just didn’t feel like dealing with the greasy mess left behind in a griddle or frying pan, this bacon-cooking method might just change your life. You see, my husband was the exact same way. He loved eating bacon, but didn’t love cooking it. It was just too much cleanup.
And then, several years ago, we stayed with some friends who introduced my husband Chuck to the genius technique that we have used ever since.
This bacon tastes extra yummy when you eat it with blueberry cream cheese low-carb muffins.
Low-Carb Bacon Tips
Follow these tips and you can make bacon in the oven. It’s mess-free and the easiest way to make bacon!
- Place a sheet of parchment paper on the baking sheet. This will make cleanup so much easier.
- Remember to flip the bacon over. This will help it get crispy on both sides.
- Blot the grease off the bacon. If you leave the grease on the bacon, it will continue cooking and could cause it to get too crispy.
- Only use sugar-free bacon, especially when you want to eat low-carb bacon.

INGREDIENTS:
- 1 lb bacon
- large cookie sheet
- parchment paper

STEP 1: Preheat the oven to 415 degrees. Cut a length of parchment paper longer and wider than the cookie sheet. Fold up edges of parchment paper; trim the excess so that each edge is approximately 1-inch tall. Layout bacon on parchment paper.

STEP 2: Bake the bacon for 12-15 minutes; check and flip the bacon, then cook 3-6 minutes longer. Cook longer for crispier bacon. cooking time will differ depending on the thickness of the bacon.

STEP 3: Toss parchment paper, blot grease with a paper towel, and serve.
